And because success at Elektro Mack relies on combining excellent teamwork with reliable and competent individuals, we would like to introduce our board of managers in greater detail.
Karl Mack - founder & owner, Business Executive
After successfully completing a craftsman exam to become a master electrician, Karl Mack founded Elektro-Mack GmbH in Baindt, Baden-Württemberg in 1974. Over the following years and with great personal commitment, Karl Mack supported the development and growth of Elektro-Mack. He founded the first branch in Thuringia in 1990 after the Berlin Wall came down, before taking over the company ruhlamat from a trust a year later. ruhlamat GmbH became Karl Mack’s next obsession over the next few years before the group added another member through the purchase of SMR GmbH in 1998. This was followed by the founding of a subsidiary in China, ruhlamat Suzhou, which made it possible to serve international project inquiries faster and more comprehensively. Currently Karl Mack is predominantly active in the management of the company as an advisor.
Thomas Mack - Business Executive
After successfully completing a degree in business administration and an earlier apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic, Thomas Mack started in 2000 as an assistant to the management at ruhlamat GmbH. Since January of 2004, Thomas Mack has been at the head of the family business. His years as the business manager have been characterized by the further structuring and establishment of the "Mack Group". In 2018 it consists of the three different companies: ruhlamat GmbH, Elektro-Mack GmbH and SMR Sondermaschinenbau GmbH. Under his leadership, ruhlamat GmbH has grown into an international company with seven branches throughout the world.
Peter Hugel, Business Executive
After his education in technical computer engineering, Peter Hugel has continued to expand his areas of activity through various career stages. Having started out for Dornier GmbH (now Airbus) as a support engineer for communications technology, Peter Hugel then went on to work for Deutsche Telekom infrastructure suppliers Nortel and later Ayaya, where he was Senior Manager for Field Services and Technical Support. From 2011 to 2017 Peter Hugel was Division Manager of the Automotive Division of CTDI GmbH, which is known as a service provider in the field of electronic processing. Parallel to his career, Peter Hugel also continued his education earning an MBA for International Business Management. He assumed the role of Business Executive of Elektro-Mack GmbH in Baindt on November 1, 2017.
